threadsy Privacy Policy
This policy covers how we treat the information that we collect and receive. Your access and continued use of our websites signifies that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy and that you consent to its terms, including International Transfer to the US as set forth below. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our services change and expand. We will notify you of any changes by posting them on our site. All amendments will be automatically effective 30 days after they are posted.
When we handle your email and process its text, we might also be inadvertently exposed to any Personally Identifiable Information it contains. For instance, if you get an order confirmation email after shopping online, that email might contain your phone number or address. We won't share that information with anyone unless you give us specific permission to, if you make it public yourself, if we're required to by law enforcement, or if threadsy is acquired by another company. (Scroll down to the "Information Sharing and Disclosure" section to read the details.)
In order to provide you with the threadsy service, we use various technology service providers like database storage and communications vendors. Although our agreements with these companies prohibit them from improperly accessing or using your information, your information will still move through these services.
We will share some information about you with our partners to provide extra services to you, or to show you advertising messages. This information will not contain anything about you that's personally identifiable, unless you give us permission to share that particular piece of information in that particular context (for instance, if you add an extension to your account that asks for your email address).
Finally, we may augment your messages with information we believe to be about you and the people you communicate with in order to provide you with more detail about your social contacts. For more information, please read the "Information About People: from Various Sources" section below.
Aggregate Information and Non-Identifying Information. We may share aggregated information that includes Non-Identifying Information and Log Data with third parties for industry analysis and demographic profiling, and to deliver targeted advertising about other products and services. For instance, we might use your age to determine which of our features people in your age range like best. We'd use your specific age to place you into a demographic group (like those from 21-34), but we'd only transfer the fact that you're within that group to third parties, not what your actual age is.
Service Providers. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Site-related services (such as, maintenance services, database management, web analytics and improvement of the Site's features) or to assist us in analyzing how our Site and Service are used. These third parties have access to your Personally Identifiable Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. We use natural language processing to identify pertinent elements of the messages you send and receive, and we may provide information about those elements to our business partners or other trusted entities for the purpose of sending you targeted advertising. Any information we provide will not contain Personally Identifiable Information. You can, at any time, opt out of receiving such communications by setting the appropriate option in your account settings or by contacting us at support@threadsy.com.
Third Party Extensions. We may provide you with the opportunity to add third party application extensions to your threadsy account which will offer additional functionality. If you choose to add such an extension, your Personally Identifiable Information may be shared with that third party for the purpose of providing that functionality. Any information transferred to such a third party is subject to that party's privacy policy and practices; we encourage you to read and review that privacy policy to learn about that third party and find out which types of your Personally Identifiable Information will be sent to them before adding any third party extension.
Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement. threadsy cooperates with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We will disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including but not limited to subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of threadsy or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, any illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity.
Business Transfers. threadsy may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including your Personally Identifiable Information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy. threadsy will notify you before transferring your information to a new entity as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of some or all of its assets if the new entity's processing of your information will materially differ from that set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use
threadsy is a new kind of communication service that improves email and online messaging in many ways. Our primary goals in collecting information are to provide and improve these services, our website (the "Site"), and features and content on the Site (together, the "Service"), to administer your membership, and to enable you and other people that visit us to enjoy and easily navigate the Site.- Registration. When you register with us through the Site (and become a "threadsy Member"), we will ask you for certain pieces of Personally Identifiable Information (your username and password to other social networking websites). In some cases, your username to these websites may be your email address, so we may also collect that. We might also receive Personally Identifiable Information through your use of the Service - for instance, if it is contained in the email messages that we process for you. By "Personally Identifiable Information," we mean information about you that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally Identifiable Information includes, but is not limited to, your name, phone number, credit card or other billing information, pictures of you, your email address, the names and email addresses of your contacts and friends, home and business postal addresses, and website URLs.
- Non-Identifying Information. We also collect other information that you might provide as part of registering for threadsy, personalizing your threadsy account, or to the extent that it's contained in any messages which we process for you (such as, your company, occupation, ZIP code (on its own), and your account settings) ("Non-Identifying Information").
- Combining PII and Non-Identifying Information to Provide the Service. We combine your Personally Identifiable Information with your Non-Identifying Information to provide the Service to you. For instance, if you want to send a message to your friend through threadsy, we may use your email address (Personally Identifiable Information) together with the content of that message (Non-Identifying Information) to enhance and enable you to send that message.
- Consolidated Email. You have the option of providing us with the login credentials (your username and password) to your email accounts. If you do, we will use them for the limited purpose of providing you with access to the messages stored in your accounts, and processing and enhancing those messages with information that could be useful to you. You also have the option of providing us with the login credentials to your accounts on certain social networking websites; we will use that information to provide you with access to your messages on those websites, and to process and enhance those messages. You are under no obligation to provide us with these credentials.
- Information about People: from Various Sources. We may augment your messages with information we believe to be about you and the people you communicate with in order to provide you with more detail about your social contacts. We will obtain this information from those messages, from publicly available websites, from information vendors, and from the social networking sites to which you have linked your account. In some instances, this information may contain Personally Identifiable Information. For instance, we may use the email address of someone who has sent you a message to place that person's Twitter messages or other such information next to the emails they send you.
- Message Content. Our computers may process the information in your messages for various purposes, including formatting and displaying the information to you, delivering advertisements and related information, backing up your messages, and other purposes relating to offering you the Service.
- Advertising and Marketing. We may also use your Personally Identifiable Information to contact you with threadsy newsletters, marketing or promotional materials, and other information that may be of interest to you. If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to receive such communications from us, please follow the unsubscribe instructions provided in any of the communications or select the appropriate option in your account information. First, we utilize persistent cookies to save your registration ID and login password for future logins to the Site. Second, we utilize session ID cookies to enable certain features of the Site, to better understand how you interact with the Site and to monitor aggregate usage by threadsy Visitors and web traffic routing on the Site. You can choose what other Personally Identifiable- or Non-Identifiable Information you provide as part of your profile ("Other Member Information") and in some cases you can choose whether to share that information publicly on the Site by selecting the appropriate option in your user account preferences. Any information you choose to provide should reflect how much you want other people to know about you and others. If you make a particular message public, it will be visible to everyone - other threadsy Members and anyone visiting the site - and although we will attempt to remove the headers and any email addresses from such a message, we cannot guarantee that no other Personally Identifiable Information will be disclosed (for instance, if contained in the text of the message itself).
